Controversial video of GOP nominee Mitt Romney talking to donors made its way to “Mother Jones” magazine Monday via Jimmy Carter’s grandson. Here’s the impact, by the numbers.

About 2 million: Pageviews for story with Romney 47% video, “double the magazine’s previous 24-hour record,” Mother Jones co-editor Clara Jeffery told The New York Times.

384,000+: Twitter mentions of “47%” and #47percent since the video was released.

$$$: Value to the magazine’s fundraising drive to be determined. Publisher Steve Katz told Nieman Lab, “we did see a spike in donations and subscriptions yesterday, although we’re still interpreting the results and can’t share the dollar amounts at the moment.”

At least two: Suggestions the media doesn’t care whether the video was recorded illegally.

Video metrics company Visible Measures compared the “47 Percent” video to Romney ads and Clint Eastwood’s appearance at the Republican National Convention.

Co-editor Monika Bauerlein “encouraged tipsters who might have a similar video of the president to send it her way. ‘These are the revealing moments about the people who run our country,’ ” she told The New York Observer.
