Washington Post national political correspondent Karen Tumulty’s name was misspelled (“Tumlty”) on the paper’s front page today due to a computer meltdown, she tweets:

In a memo to staff, Managing Editor John Temple says the problems went beyond the front page:

We experienced serious technical problems last night. This meant that some readers received the regional edition and that we were unable to complete updating of website.

Tumulty’s story, headlined “1st Lady Lauds Obama’s Vision,” was about Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. Front page below (click for larger image, Tumulty’s story is top right):
