“Someday,” The Washington Post may not have a print edition, Jeff Bezos told NBC News’ Kate Snow. “It could be decades,” The Washington Post’s soon-to-be owner said. Then he unleashed a metaphor that will keep people on Twitter busy for several hours.

“I think printed newspapers on actual paper may be a luxury item,” Bezos said. “It’s sort of like, you know, people still have horses, but it’s not their primary way of commuting to the office.”
