A New York Times article about Rufus Wainwright “referred incorrectly to Leonard Cohen,” a correction says:

The well-known singer-songwriter, musician, poet and novelist is very much alive; it is not the case that he is “the late Leonard Cohen.”

This is the third and perhaps most spectacular music-related correction in the Times lately — in May the paper misspelled the name of the metal group Megadeth in an obituary and referred to Daft Punk as “Daft Puck” and “Daft Pink.”
