Tomorrow will be the Miami Herald’s first day in its new headquarters.

CBS Miami collects a couple of tweets from reporters packing up. Here are a couple I found with pictures:

 

 

Herald owner McClatchy sold the oceanfront building in 2011. Doral, Fla., is about 14 miles to the west of its old headquarters.

It was the building we all loved to hate — until the day it was sold in 2011,” Herald Executive Editor Mindy Marques wrote in March.

Employees complained that it was always too hot — or too cold. The elevators were lethargic. And what was that black soot that occasionally oozed out of the air-conditioning vents?
