Pew
Pew released some demographic information on social media users Thursday. It may help dispel some myths.

Who you think Twitter users are:

Who they actually are: Urban dwellers under 50




Who you think Instagram users are:

Who they actually are: “African-Americans and Hispanics are more likely than whites to use Instagram, along with urban residents,” quoth Pew.



Who you think Pinterest users are:

Who they actually are: “Women are about five times as likely to be on the site as men, the largest difference in gender of any site featured in this report.”
