In June of 2011, many journalists learned through Twitter that Jill Abramson would become The New York Times’ new executive editor, Jeff Sonderman wrote for Poynter. He pulled together a Storify of some of those tweets, which serve as a parallel to Wednesday’s news, told mostly through Twitter, that Abramson had been replaced with Dean Baquet.
