“I’m the only man man enough to stand up here by myself with all these snowballs coming,” WJLA/NewsChannel8 reporter Mike Conneen said Thursday while covering a snowball fight in Washington, D.C.
Conneen (who I used to work with) can be heard shouting “Not the face! Not the face!” in the video. He fired off a couple snowballs himself. “Does workman’s comp cover this?” he asks. “You’re on your own, I think, Mike, is what the lawyers are saying,” anchor Dave Lucas replies. The snow ruffians’ assault on Conneen later made The Daily Mail.
