The President’s final State Of The Union address made a lot of front pages on Wednesday, but many newspapers around the country led with the drawing of tonight’s $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot. Some newspapers asked readers what they’d do with all that money (lots of eating out.) One combined the 2016 election and the potential winnings to imagine how campaigns might blow the money (lots of buttons.) And many newspapers made some suggestions on how to spend the money (buy the St. Louis Cardinals.) Today’s front page of the day comes from The (Canton, Ohio) Repository, which broke through all the champagne wishes and caviar dreams with some real talk. Via Newseum:
