No, seriously.
2016 has given journalists a lot of news that has been tough to cover: A long election, police killings in Dallas, a mass shooting in Orlando and, most recently, the loss of a beloved journalist. There’s also been the relentless drip–drip–drip of layoffs and declining ad sales.
But next week, regardless of what they’ve personally faced this year, a lot of families will take a moment before or during their meals to talk about what they’re thankful for. It’s a good tradition that we’re going to try here, too.
