If years were measured by the number of communications directors Donald Trump has had, his first term would be over. But it’s only been six months since Inauguration Day.
In the latest shakeup of the much-embattled White House communications team, Anthony Scaramucci was fired Monday after only 10 days on the job. The news came days after The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza published a story detailing a shocking conversation he had with the then-communications director, which included profane comments about former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Senior Adviser Steve Bannon.
Former Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned immediately after Scaramucci joined the White House on July 21, citing the appointment as a chief reason for his departure. He was replaced by former Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders the same day.
Despite the rapid succession of recent changes, the president doesn’t appear to be worried.
