I've heard "Inky" all my life, and have never lived in Philadelphia. What's more, a simple Google search reveals that this assertion is pure nonsense. There are thousands and thousands of references to the Inky, from all different kinds of people - including bloggers, media watchers, and locals in Philadelphia.
What a bizarre thing to say, especially since it's so easily checked against reality.
Please stop calling the Inquirer the "Inky."
