Caution About Printing Psychiatric Records

As journalists delve into the background of these two shooters, any information about their psychiatric history will be big news. I would like to caution against the publishing of any leaked psychiatric records. Recently the NY Times did this very thing in a story about multiple suicides in group of US soldiers . Although the information made the story an excellent piece, I believe this was unethical journalism and could have serious repercussions. Please see my blog on this issue:
