Update on Michael Sandler - Years Later...
Posted by Michael Sandler 5/12/2008 8:03:29 PM

Hi,

I'm not trying to do this as a commercial posting...and I'm not sure if this'll even be found 3 years later. But as a follow up to being called an "enterprise" after my adventure riding across the country, I just came up with an audiobook and book that talks about the ride and is to help students and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder. If it's ok to mention it here it's College Confidence with ADD...and more information on the past ride, on the audiobook or book, or on what's going on with the "enterprise" (strange to call it that) of Michael Sandler, it can be found at www.thecreativelearninginstitute.com (which I founded after the ride) or the photos I've taken since the ride can be found at www.natureshealingspirit.com.

Thanks again for the blurb, and hope it's okay for this follow-up!

Update from Michael Sandler
Posted by Michael Sandler 3/31/2005 2:21:54 AM

Hi and thanks to Sandra for the posting!

I survived my 40 day journey across the country. By it's definition, I guess it would have Risky Business and the start of an enterprise.

Since the ride of helped many people with ADD and have tried to determine the next best step to take. My latest adventure, starting an online school for High School and College Students with Attention Deficit Disorder.

To me, it's every bit as big and as scary an adventure as my ride...in fact, there are more variables to take into account, and in my opinion, greater risk. Yet the opportunity for the reward of helping others is also there, and it is a needed service.

To check out what I'm up to now, you can go to my ride side, which Sandra had right as www.positiveadditude.com, or to my new enterprise adventure, which is www.thecreativelearninginstitute.com.

Thanks for kudos Sandra, and to everyone for your support!

~Michael S.

Positive ADDitude

Hmmm, I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate place to post this, but what the heck, I think I can connect it!

I wanted to pass on the website of a guy who personifies "enterprise". His name is Michael Sandler and he just rode his bicycle 5000 miles (in one fell swoop!) to raise awareness for Attention Deficit Disorder.

It's a cool story. www.positiveadditude.com

Left out of the party

Chip,

Hordes of journalists covered last week's extravagant, star-studded party at Louis Boston during the Democratic National Convention, where the Red Hot Chili Peppers played. But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who talked to the homeless guy outside the steel barrier.

Check it out:

Cap'n! The Enterprise canna take much mare!

How about a little bit in the article about how enterprise is quashed in so many newsrooms.

I'm pretty sure we've all been in a situation where we've know -- without having to be told -- that a certain question must not be raised, or that a certain article must not be written. For example: Major advertiser of this publication found naked in motel with dead hooker, scout group. Follow up piece the next day: Local publisher fires reporter.

And we can all pat ourselves on the back for how brave and bold we are, but when it comes right down to it, we pretty much realize that unless we're high enough up to actually merit attention when we get fired, we don't risk losing our jobs and health care.

By the way, did the Press Corps ever band together to get the President to answer some of Helen Thomas' questions answered? Gee, I wonder why not. Sure would be an interesting Enterprise to undertake.
