The return of writing?

So, if anybody can be a reporter by merely witnessing and transmitting a news event, that has to be good news for professional journalists who still can practice the "art" of the craft: true communication.

News junkies will flock to the Webcams and blogs of the fully equipped citizen who happens to be in the right place at the right time. But there is still a place in the information-overloaded world for journalists who can skillfully place the event in context and communicate the issues involved through the old-fashioned art of news writing.
