Eugenia Mitchelstein (Ph.D., Northwestern University, 2015) is Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences at Universidad de San Andrés and co-director of the Center for the Study of Media and Society in Argentina. Her research program examines the interaction between new media, political communication and civic engagement, She is the author of The News Gap: When the Information Preferences of the Media and the Public Diverge (MIT Press, 2013; joint with Pablo Boczkowski).
