I am a journalist deeply interested in expanding the newspaper industry's reach to underserved communities, like youth. Newspapers must do a better job of covering socioeconomically disadvantaged populations, and creating literacy programs to work with people who cannot read. Corporate media must begin to give back to the communities where profit is extracted. Furthermore, the world of corporate journalism must begin to acknowledge the alternate realities presented by independent media producers. Peace, Ken K.
