Victor Merina is a former Los Angeles Times reporter and teaching fellow at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California at Berkeley. He writes and edits the Diversity Digest portion of the Poynter web site that focuses on stories involving issues of race, race relations, gender, faith, and sexual orientation.
