Macromedia Flash technology into its i-mode mobile-phone-content platform. That's significant because it will bring richer content and more interactive applications to mobile phones. In other words, your phone will soon start acting more like your broadband-connected PC. Don't get too excited yet unless you live in Japan; this development is restricted, for now, to DoCoMo's proprietary network there. But it'll spread soon enough.
News publishers might want to start planning for the arrival of this technology in mobile phones. It means they'll be able to deliver content to phones that's much, much more than a few characters of text.
