The Media Bloggers Respect
Posted by Steve Outing at 4:38 PM on May 20, 2004
J.D. Lasica notes an interesting chart shown yesterday at the Technorati Developers Salon, showing the top media sites based on inbound links from blogs. This is a measure of how credible bloggers find various media outlets. The top four are predictable: New York Times, CNN.com, BBC, and Washington Post. But then the list gets interesting: Slashdot, The Guardian, Plastic.com, Suicide Girls, Salon, BoingBoing, Instapundit, Slate, Fox News... Says Lasica, "What's shocking, in a way, is how quickly the top-tier blogs like Instapundit and BoingBoing already have more link authority than well-established news sites like Slate, Fox, Reuters, MSNBC, and USA Today. This, only two years after blogs have taken off in a big way."
