Oodle, a search engine for local online classifieds, is integrating
Google Maps output into its service. Using the website to search for cars in a specific city, for instance, you'll be able to identify listings just in a particular area of the city -- viewing a satellite and/or road map to identify locations of listings.
The feature, as
reported by AuctionBytes.com, is to be rolled out on Oodle in the coming weeks, starting out with real estate.

Utilizing Google Maps is quite the growth industry. (See my
earlier item.) Traditional purveyors of classifieds (including and especially newspapers) will want to be figuring out how to deploy Google mapping, in order to stay competitive. Google's openness in allowing anyone to hook into its satellite mapping service makes it a low-cost proposition.
