I'm always on the lookout for original ideas in presenting journalism
on the Web -- things that can be done only, or best, online. Here's a
creative idea from
LATimes.com: a "
keyword cloud" for words used in President Bush's State of the Union address.
The
Los Angeles Times has borrowed the approach to "tag clouds" used by sites such as
Del.icio.us,
Flickr, and
Bakotopia, but applied it to a news event.
I think it's a cool approach to visually presenting information that
I've seen elsewhere in more traditional forms (for instance, a chart
showing most frequently used words and a count of each one).
