ABC (Australia) Media Report
PBS anchor Jim Lehrer tells Australia public radio: "If somebody in the media just assumes everybody in the government is a liar, that's no way to operate. ...What happened in the Iraq situation as it happened in the Vietnam situation, that there just weren't that many sources, there weren't that many people who had information, and there were not that many people asking a lot of questions, or more importantly, there weren't a lot of people, enough people, who had answers that were reliable, believable, and credible, and it wasn't I don't think necessarily just kind of a kneejerk reaction 'Well if the government says it, it's got to be true', because I don't know of any professional journalist who believes that."
