San Francisco Chronicle David Lazarus, who is
headed to the Los Angeles Times, says Chronicle editors "took enough heat on my behalf to boil soup." He tells readers: "This isn't goodbye. The Internet may be eating the lunch of most newspapers, but it also turns journalism into a movable feast. I have no doubt we'll encounter one another again online."
