Ken Brusic tells his staff that page one editor
CP Smith's nose-picking -- caught on camera and mentioned in a TV news director's
memo -- was an accident and not some kind of protest. "I talked to CP last night at his home where he was riding out mixed emotions," says Brusic. "He said he was embarrassed by what had been captured on TV, even though he didn't remember doing it. And he was frustrated and angry."
