A review of stories published in the University of Hawaii at Manoa paper between January 2008 and May 2009 found that former news editor Kris DeRego apparently fabricated 29 people he quoted in stories. The paper will now ask reporters to provide e-mail addresses and phone numbers of sources. || Read the student newspaper's piece on the bogus sources.
