Chicago Tribune editors decided last week that two "Boondocks" strips -- Monday's and Thursday's -- were beneath the paper's standards and opted for substitute strips. The paper heard some "censorship" cries, but ombud Don Wycliff says: "The very fact that readers could find the strips elsewhere indicates that they were not censored. What we do at the newspaper is edit. To edit is to apply judgment and to choose."
