Chattanooga Times Free Press executive editor Tom Griscom writes in a Friday editor's note about reporter Lee Pitts arranging to have soldiers ask questions of Donald Rumsfeld: "Questions have been raised as to whether Mr. Pitts used the soldier or put words in his mouth. While Mr. Pitts states that he discussed the armor question with the soldiers, Spc. Wilson chose to ask the question." Griscom tells me that he received about 500 e-mails after Pitts' letter to colleagues was posted on ROMENESKO, then cut-and-pasted by the Drudge Report and other blogs.
