Poynter Timeline
Posted at 12:00 AM on Dec. 15, 2003

This timeline is about Nelson Poynter, the founder of The Poynter Institute, and the former owner and editor of the St. Petersburg Times and Times Publishing Company.

The project also records the history of the Institute and Times after Nelson Poynter's death in 1978.

We hope this timeline serves as a useful reminder of his life and legacy.
