I'm specifically interested in anything on the north or west side of the city. Bloomberg of course would be willing to pay. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Seeking Another Room in Baton Rouge
(Sept. 9, 2005)
I am an AAJA member and a senior editor with KoreAm Journal, a Korean American monthly magazine based in Los Angeles. We have few contacts/resources in the gulf area so are really starting from scratch right now.
I will be in Baton Rouge covering the Katrina aftermath Sept. 13-16 and am looking for a safe place to stay for those 3 nights. I am traveling alone and with probably just a backpack. I will have a rental car. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time.

Times-Picayune reporter needs housing in Baton Rouge

(Posted Sept. 5, 2005) Hi, I am a reporter for The Times-Picayune, and I am looking for housing in or near Baton Rouge. My name is Mary Swerczek. My email address is mkswerczek@hotmail.com. Thank you so much, Mary

UPDATED: Mary has found housing as of Sept. 6, 2005.

Times-Picayune managing editor Peter Kovacs says that many print and broadcast journalists have made Baton Rouge a base of operation and what they need more than anything right now is a place to stay within about 30 miles of the city. If you can provide journalists with a place to stay -- or know someone who can -- e-mail your contact information to webstaff@poynter.org and we will pass along the message. If you are a journalist/journalism organization seeking a place to stay (or know of one that is), e-mail us your contact information. We'll do our best to match up those who need help with those who can give help.
