Can';t help but notice that the low-paid, easily replaceable desk jockey on the mobile team got fired, while on-air talent (including Jason Whitlock, whose slur was clearly not just a slip of the tongue) still have jobs.

This may not be career ending, if he has references and experiences to back up his talent and his value as an employee. This was, however, a huge mistake and obviously ESPN thought it warranted job action. I certainly don't disagree.

ESPN, in my opinion, was cowardly in not backing a good employee who made a stupid mistake. I've worked 28 years in this business, many of them on sports desks at night. If I was running a department somewhere, I'd hire Anthony. One mistake, especially one like this, should not end a career.

Hardly "libelous" but, yes, very sloppy phrasing.

Those of us of a certain age or with an interest in history understand the shorthand, but using "Nazi-occupied Poland" is more accurate and appropriate for the shrinking number of younger readers we all wish we could attract.

It's public, but is severely rate-limited by the Twitter API (and in need of a little... ahem... error handling). Internal server error right now... oops. I'll need to fix that.
