Poynter's historic front page election collection will be expanded to include inauguration front pages. The updated book will be available in February 2009.
Produced in partnership with dozens of U.S. and international newspapers, the original collection of 75 front pages features an introduction by "Doonesbury" creator Garry Trudeau. The New York Times bestseller will be supplemented with about 30 new front pages published after the January 20 swearing-in and related ceremonies.
If you would like your paper considered, please send us your plans for inauguration-related front pages (including special editions).
Participating papers include:
Anchorage Daily News, Arizona Republic, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Detroit Free Press, Rocky Mountain News, St. Petersburg Times, Staten Island Advance, Boston Globe, (Raleigh) News & Observer, Philadelphia Tribune, Times-Picayune, USA Today, dozens more U.S. dailies, college papers, ethnic press, and international publications.
