Archived Chat: How can Journalism Schools Encourage Innovation?
In this week's chat, Daniel Bachhuber, the Executive Director of CoPress and intern with Publish2, led a discussion on how journalism schools can create environments that foster innovation in journalism.

Bachhuber talked about how his outside-of-the-classroom experience with CoPress taught him entrepreneurial skills like managing a business. In an email developing this chat topic, he said, "I think it's critically important that, if a student or someone who considers themselves a student wants to launch a project, there be resources and support from the educational system they consider themselves a part of."

One ideas he suggested was to create 'space for students to experiment where they aren't necessarily graded on whether the experiment was a "success" or "failure."'
