Poynter Career Center's "Post Your Resume and Win" program was a promotion that enters job seekers at Poynter Career Center into a random drawing for monthly awards. The promotion was open to job seekers only. Job seekers are defined as those who post a resume on Poynter Career Center.

Awards were offered to job seekers who posted a resume at Poynter Career Center (careers.poynter.org) between October and December, 2006. Monthly awards were drawn at random from a pool of entries. (See "How to Enter" below.)

Promotion rules are subject to change by The Poynter Institute. By posting a resume, participants agree to be bound by the official rules and agree that Poynter's decisions are final and not open to challenge. Likewise, by participating, resume posters agree that Poynter may contact them to receive permission to publish a testimonial with their names, and to publish their names on a list of winners.

No purchase necessary to enter or win. The number of entries received determines odds of winning. Void where prohibited.

Eligibility
Employees of The Poynter Institute and their immediate families are not eligible.

All entries are the property of The Poynter Institute, will not be returned, and may be used in its mailing lists.

How to Enter
Each new, individual resume posted at Poynter Career Center will result in one entry into our promotion.

Monthly Award
Three first-prize awards (three total, one per month): $200 American Express® Gift Card.

Three second-prize awards (three total, one per month): Two hours of resume coaching (valued at $200).

Monthly winners were selected in St. Petersburg, Fla., on the first business day of November 2006, December 2006 and January 2007, reflecting the winner for the previous month.

Award winners were selected at random from the pool of entries accrued each day between 12:01 a.m. on the first day of the month and midnight on the last day of the month.

This promotion will occur in October, November and December 2006.

Award Notification
Winners will be notified by e-mail, registered mail or telephone, and the award will be mailed to the winner upon notification.

The winners will be chosen based on the entire pool of entries (posted resumes).

The Poynter Institute reserves the right to change the awards offered. Awards are nontransferable and are not redeemable for cash. Federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
