Mashup
A mashup is an online application that combines information from two or more sources. A customized Google Map is the most common type of mashup. It uses map images from Google and can display marker points from other sources. The locations of crimes plotted on a Google map would be a mashup, for example. Maps can be merged with information from other sites, such as photos from Flickr, postings from Craigslist and listings from the Yellow Pages.
