RSS
RSS is a system that allows Web publishers to distribute "feeds" of their content, including news, blog items and podcasts, to subscribers who can automatically receive the latest information without having to seek it out.
RSS
With RSS, readers use a service such as Bloglines, NewsGator or Google Reader that finds new information every day on various sites and aggregates it conveniently.
YOUR WORDS DEFINED
Do you have a word that you'd like the WebSpeak crew to help you define? Send us an email.

* For more online journalism tips, read Chip Scanlan's ABCs of Online Writing.

* Subscribe to the WebSpeak RSS feed.
And by promoting RSS (Really Simple Syndication), publishers can make it easier for readers to find their content quickly and consistently, thus building traffic. (You can subscribe to WebSpeak by clicking the RSS button at the top right corner of this page.)
