MinnPost-Harnisch High-Low Matched & Anonymous Contribution Model for News
Let's say you'd like to find sponsors for a local blog -- but you want to shield the blogger from the potential conflicts that could arise from knowing the identity of individual supporters.

If you're MinnPost founder Joel Kramer, and the local blog is David Brauer's BrauBlog, you invite $10 LowBrau and $25 HighBrau gifts, with a match of up to a total of $10,000 from the The Harnisch Foundation.

Foundation President Ruth Ann Harnisch, who is also a financial supporter of Poynter, says she met Kramer at a conference titled: "Who Will Pay for the News?"

"The answer is 'me,' '' she writes on MinnPost. "And also you."

You can track the progress of the giving in the widget in the right rail of the BrauBlog. And don't miss the comments, policed to prevent disclosure of any LowBraus or HighBraus.
