Not long ago I told you that advocates for the blind are concerned that hybrid cars may be so quiet that they pose a danger to blind pedestrians who cannot hear the cars approaching.

My friend Boyd Huppert at KARE-TV in Minneapolis recently covered the story of a young boy who didn't hear a hybrid car behind him and turned into the car's path. (Watch the story.)

This is something to keep in mind as you cover accidents involving these cars, which are becoming more common.
