Today is the the last day to submit entries for the 2006 Online Journalism Awards. All entries must be in by midnight Pacific time tonight (June 15). You can submit your entry here.
Online News Association executive director Tom Regan cautioned in an e-mail announcement yesterday, "When selecting an entry type, if you are entering on behalf of your media company or news organization, always choose 'News Organization,' even if you are an ONA member. The category 'ONA self-nominator' is for ONA members who do not work for news organization and are entering the contest on their own." If you've made this error in your entry, e-mail Tom Regan and he can get your entry adjusted.
Also, Regan reports that a tech glitch in the online entry system has been fixed, so now people can enter multiple categories using the same URL.
I can't wait to see the results! Winners will be announced at the 2006 ONA conference, Oct. 5-7 in Washington, D.C.
