Knight-Batten Award Winners Announced
J-Lab has just announced the 2006 winners of the Knight-Batten awards for innovation in journalism.
And the winners are:

- Transparent Newsroom, Spokane, Wa. Spokesman-Review
- IBISEYE, Sarasota, Fla. Herald-Tribune
- U.S. Congress Votes Database, washingtonpost.com
- Bakomatic, social media platform from the Bakersfield Californian
- Twin Cities Daily Planet, Twin Cities Media Alliance
The top winner will be announced Sept. 18 at a morning symposium at the National Press Club, Washington, D.C.
