El Mundo Opens Its Archive

El Mundo
elmundo.es
The online archive of Spain's major daily El Mundo are now free to all.
On Oct. 18, El Mundo (a major daily paper from Spain) opened its online archives without restrictions. This allows research in the news from 1994 up to the present.

It's an intelligent move, considering that the page views and unique visitors would jump, in a market where the newspaper is the leader, according to historical statistics from OJD Interactiva.

The other big newspaper in Spain which has online archives, El País, provides this feature only to paying subscribers.
