tivo.com Did you know you can distribute vidcasts over TiVo?

From the recent Blogference in Israel, Tidbits contributor Alan Abbey reports that the popular pseudo-news vidcast Rocketboom has made the leap to the bigger screen -- regular television -- thanks to the TV search / time shifting service TiVo

Abbey wrote in his blog TVmama that Rocketboom founder Andrew Baron told him: "Rocketboom was the first online content producer to be available on home TV screens through TiVo. (...CNet and NYTimes.com video also are on the system now). ...[Their TiVo] audience is smaller than what Rocketboom has online, but that [Baron] gets the most and the nicest comments from people who 'saw you on TV.'

"There's something about that big screen that adds credibility and visibility that is just different from the PC or Mac, that even pureblood Internet shop Rocketboom understands. It doesn't hurt that Rocketboom has high-quality production values -- they use a $1,500 HD camera to film the show."

Food for thought for the many news organizations now publishing their own video online.
