A Digital Day in Spain
Today is the first day of Digital Terrestrial Television (TDT) in Spain. TDT could change the way TV programs are made and viewed, because it has great potential for interactivity. This change increases the number of channels per broadcaster by four. Digital TV also connects viewers to the Internet, digital teletext, e-commerce, and more. In five years, the analog system will likely vanish, since it is scheduled to be disabled in April 2010. The media have been informing the public about TDT, including
El Mundo, which includes an
interactive graphic, and
El País.
