It's a common thought that you can't call back any information once
it's been published on the Internet, isn't it? Maybe. But does the
existence of this information matter, if it can't be found by any search
engine any more?
The German blogosphere right now is running a
test to build a special kind of "Google bomb." This time it's not
about
hyping a website on "weapons of mass destruction" to the top
position. It's about winning all the results! The information to be
eliminated: bad jokes about blondes ("Blondinenwitze").
Here's the way to achieve this: Each blogger links to "
the best Blondinenwitz I've ever heard of" (wording is free to
choose).
Not convinced that it works? Try it. And watch Google.
Bloggers had
already
occupied the ranks 4 to 10 on the first result page on Blondinenwitz
at the time of this writing. (Actually, they climbed from position 5 to 4
while I was writing this.)
