Citizen-Media Advisory Board Launches
Dan Gillmor, the former technology columnist for the
San Jose Mercury News
and author of the book
We the Media,
has announced a
board of
advisors for his new Center for Citizen Media. Two of the members are also
contributors to the
E-Media Tidbits blog. Yeah, this one, right here.
Both
Steve Outing of Poynter
and
Paul Grabowicz of the University of
California-Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism are on the board. Other notables include
Merrill Brown, late of MSNBC.com, and
Susan Mernit, a long-time newspaper and
magazine interactive-media executive who's now principal of a consulting
group.
Oh, and everybody's love-to-love or love-to-hate (depending on whether
you're a user of
Craigslist.org or a newspaper publisher) classifieds guy,
Craig Newmark.
