Boston Phoenix
After selling his suburban newspapers, Boston Herald publisher
Patrick Purcell met with his staff and vowed that he's in it for the long haul, reports
Mark Jurkowitz. Purcell seemed to be still debating what direction to take, soliciting staff suggestions, indicating that he's examined a number of business models. A Herald staffer says the publisher's remarks were "upbeat, but a little scary. If there’s a plan, it wasn’t evident."
