Time managing editor
Jim Kelly has been named to the newly created position of Time Inc. managing editor, effective on June 15. A press release says: "In his new position, Kelly will work on a wide variety of areas concentrating on standards, practices and ethics. Additionally he will work closely with [Time Inc. editor-in-chief
John] Huey on proactive policymaking, pre-publication vetting of controversial stories and recruitment of outside editorial talent." Kelly's successor at the magazine will be named before the end of the week.
