Dennis FitzSimons is "a highly intelligent individual," says Ariel Capital Management's John Miller, "but he has been the victim of some unfortunate timing."
Sarah Ellison writes: "Since Mr. FitzSimons took over, growth in newspapers has stagnated, and the broadcast-TV business has softened as well. Even Tribune's WB investment has turned sour: Earlier this year Time Warner and Tribune decided to close the network."
