Bill Hoffmann and the Times'
Matthew Wald, "who headed up a motley team of 'analysts,' among whom I was one." Reisman explains: "We were supposed to be investigators, supposedly looking for scandal, probing, if you will, into the true ingredients of the cafeteria mystery meat or the strange peccadillos of the German language faculty."
