Wen Ho Lee has settled his invasion of privacy lawsuit against the government that turned into a fight over reporters' confidential sources. The deal includes a $750,000 contribution from five news organizations -- the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Associated Press, Washington Post and ABC. "Specialists in media law said that such a payment by news organizations to avoid a contempt sanction is almost certainly unprecedented," writes
Adam Liptak. "Some said it was troubling."
